We have received many compliments on the curation of our show, and it’s hang. It could have been a difficult time, organising the work of nearly 50 artists, but with the expert eye of “Simon the Framer” the paintings were organised into a wonderfully cohesive show.
Simon has hung many shows over the years, and the speed and efficiency with which the show went up clearly demonstrated this. As you may have guessed from his name, curation is not his only talent – he is also a expert framer, working with artists throughout the city, county and beyond. And so we asked Simon to tell us a bit more about himself and his business:
“I run an artists studio space and picture framing workshop off Narborough Road working for a range of clients from amateur artists to museums, galleries and universities. With nearly thirty years experience producing bespoke frames for artists from one off hand finished frames through to exhibition framing. Recently completed work includes frames for the National Portrait Award, the recently launched Queen Mary and The Other Art Fair amongst many others.
I am always happy to discuss your requirements and advise what framing possibilities there are to compliment your work to the full.”
Thankyou for giving your time and expertise freely, to support our project, it is greatly appreciated.
